The research activities in nanotechnology for biomedical applications (nanomedicine) come along with a variety of cultures and research/clinical requirements and with a partially perception in the society of being “risky”. This workpackage is foreseen to take care on internal and external communication (together with WP 5), training & education. The objective is to establish an education & training system within the project, fostering the expertise of the partners and cross-fertilise the knowledge between nanotechnological research & development and clinical research & application. A second goal is the exchange of communication amongst the partners and vis-à-vis the society (amongst others to the patients about the pro's and con’s of such combined technology approaches).
This will be achieved by establishing
- an internal Webpage for guiding research, communications of results and protocols and an external one to inform the interested society,
- training exchange for young investigators e.g. by organising graduate schools (open also for other investigators than from NanoDiaRA partner organisations) with topics highlighting the various stages from the technology to the clinical application,
- education of investigators through internal courses to improve translation from research to clinic/products, and
- meetings to inform the society about biotechnology driven nanotechnology (technology and clinical “apéro”).
WP 8 is working together with WP 5 and WP 6.
