WP 5 has been established to guarantee a successful scientific coordination of NanoDiaRA, which means well-concerted interactions between basic research groups and clinical medicine. In such a complex and interdisciplinary project, which includes technological developments and the preparation of clinical trials, a translational medicine group will be established that is responsible for full knowledge exchange between researchers, clinicians and recipient patient population (consumers). NanoDiaRA partners will establish an efficient translation through a framework covering the studies at the different laboratories and clinics within the project, record and monitor research and clinical practice from the planning process (GLP conform) to the point of “research outcome” (“product application”).
This will be done among others by an information system enabling the tracking and use of samples, reports, protocols and assure the flow of knowledge from one partner to the other, according to the sample, knowledge and report flow. The system, which meets rigorous requirements for documentation, training, sample management, technical support and confidentiality, will be used for basic research as well as a regulatory.
